IMO there’s two different parts to a “good” strategy, regardless of the minimum on the table that you’re at. Puked have 11 6’s which puts you above the curve. You could walk up to the table and throw a 40. But it’s about that shooter on that roll. There are some very good dice players who believe in DI. They play Bellagio, Paris and select tables in Vegas. They are there at 5-6 am they toss a few hands, make 300-500 and are gone before crowds. The people I know are not playing at 8pm at night. I have seen folks get lucky on grip and rip. I have seen both sides, I known people that are very good at setting and tossing. As long as they throw in 5-8 seconds who cares. If he wants to grip and rip that’s his choice too. The shooter has the dice, if he wants to set and toss to try and di that’s his choice.
At roll 40 with a guy setting the dice no one at the table is saying “grip em and rip em” If dude wants to sling the dice or set the dice it doesn’t matter. We have played craps long enough as a collective. If you mention DI it’s an instant down vote. Oh man, I could care less about down or up votes.
